TimberCare Service Agreement

The John Deere Maintenance Agreement is a service agreement whereby a John Deere service expert will take care of planned maintenance at the right time and with original spare parts. Regular maintenance ensures both good technical condition and a high machine utilization rate. The trade-in value of a well-maintained machine is also higher. The Maintenance Agreement is a convenient way of taking care of your machine. Maintenance costs that are known beforehand help in managing company finances. The Maintenance Agreement includes all maintenance work and service parts, lubricants and filters and lets you concentrate on what you do best.

The TimberLink machine report, oil analysis, or extended coverage for a desired length of time can also be included in the Maintenance Agreement.

In the OPTIMUM AND PREMIUM agreements for IT4-machines, it is possible to extend the service intervals from the normal 500, 1000 and 2000 hours up to 750, 1500 and 3000 hours. This option may enable you to save as much as 20 % in service costs. This is due to the reduction in oil usage, service work and transportation. Read more in an article in In The Forest magazine.

TimberCare STANDARD

The services in this agreement are carried out according to the normal service intervals presented in the operator's manual. The STANDARD agreement covers all the labour, parts and oils required for servicing the machine.

The STANDARD agreement can also be applied to IT4-machines if some other oil than John Deere oil is used. Remote diagnostics is available only for machines with JDLink Ultimate.

These extended service intervals are achieved through the efficiencies of current John Deere E-Series equipment with EPA Interim Tier 4 (IT4)/EU Stage IIIB engines. This new generation of forestry machines delivers performance at a lower level of service and maintenance expense. Add the TimberCare OPTIMUM service agreement and you can save up to 20 percent on your annual maintenance costs. In addition, TimberCare OPTIMUM offers you more uptime and less interruption in your daily operations through machine inspections.

On top of the new engine technology, there are a number of features for how and why the longer service intervals are achieved. The latest innovations in filters and fluids, as well as John Deere’s unique oil follow-up program facilitate the introduction of this groundbreaking novelty in service products.

The TimberCare OPTIMUM program requires a signed service agreement and the use of Genuine John Deere oils, filters, and spare parts.
