Safety Labels

Pictorial Safety Signs

At several important places on this machine safety signs are affixed intended to signify potential danger. The hazard is identified by a pictorial in a warning triangle. An adjacent pictorial provides information how to avoid personal injury. These safety signs, their placement on the machine and a brief explanatory text are shown in this Safety section.

Roll-Over Protective Structure


To maintain operator protection and ROPS certification:

• Replace damaged ROPS, do not repair or revise

• Any alteration of ROPS must be approved by manufacturer

Meets requirements of pending standard:

• ISO/CD 21299.3

• ROPS Maximum Machine Weight: 2500B/EH - 834Kg, 2653B - 795Kg

• For use on John Deere Mowers 2500B/EH, 2653B

• To avoid injury from crushing, always wear seat belt. Do not jump from machine.

• Read the Operator’s Manual.

• Always use seat belt.

• Do not drive on a slope with more than a 19? incline.



• Avoid hot surface.

• Keep people a safe distance away.



To avoid injury from rotating blades, stay clear of reel.

Shut off engine before servicing lubrication or removing cutting unit.

Avoid Injury from Tipping


• Read Operator’s Manual.

• Do not drive where machine could slip or tip.

• Do not drive on a slope with more than a 19? incline.

Park Brake

Engage park brake by pulling towards operator. Disengage by pushing lever away from operator.

Throttle Lever

Push lever forward to operate engine at FAST idle.

Pull lever rearward to operate at SLOW idle.

Avoid Injury From Battery Gases and Acid


Explosive Gases

Cigarettes, flames or sparks could cause the batteries to explode. Always shield eyes and face from the batteries. Do not charge or use booster cables or adjust poor connections without proper instruction and training. Keep vent caps tight and level.

Causes Severe Burns

Contains sulfuric acid. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. In event of an accident, flush with water and call a physician immediately. Keep out of reach of children.

Avoid Bodily Injury


Read the Operator’s Manual. Stop pump and power sources before approaching valve controlled equipment. The unload position of this valve does not fully shut off flow to controlled equipment.

Bypass Valve Label


Read operator’s manual before operating the bypass valve.

Prevent hydrostatic damage. Push or pull greensmower by hand only. Do not use another vehicle to push or pull the greensmower.

CE Certification and Specification Label


• This label on your machine indicates that this model has been certified and is in compliance with European Directive 98/37EEC (89/392EEC) and 2000/14/EC Standards.
