Pictorial Safety Signs


Safety-Alert Symbol

At several important places on this machine safety signs are affixed intended to signify potential danger. The hazard is identified by a pictorial in a warning triangle. An adjacent pictorial provides information how to avoid personal injury. These safety signs, their placement on the machine and a brief explanatory text are shown in this Safety section.

DANGER

Picture Note: Two safety labels attached to each cutting reel.

To avoid injury from rotating blades, stay clear of reel.

Shut off engine and wait for cutting units to stop before servicing, lubricating or removing cutting unit.

WARNING

To avoid injury, avoid quick stops and reduce speed on slopes.

CAUTION

HELP AVOID INJURY

• Operator training required.

• Read operator’s manual.

• Keep shields in place and in proper working condition.

• Never carry riders.

• Keep people a safe distance away.

• Maintain all safety devices.

• Before leaving machine:

• Stop engine.

• Set park brake.

• Remove key.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not tip. Keep vent caps tight and level.

FLUSH EYES IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL HELP FAST.
CAUTION: For safe jump starting follow instructions in vehicle owners manual. If not available seek service assistance.

Avoid Injury From Tipping


MX18013, MT6494

• Do not drive where machine could slip, tip, or rollover.

• Do not drive on a slope with more than a 14? (24%) incline.

CAUTION - Pinch Point

AVOID INJURY FROM PINCH POINT

Avoid hand injuries when opening or closing the operator seat platform. Do not perform service functions under seat platform unless properly secured in the raised position.

FREE-WHEELING TOW VALVE LABEL


MX18013, M123057

Read Using Free-Wheeling Tow Valve in the Operating section of this operator’s manual before operating the tow valve.

Prevent hydrostatic damage. Push or pull greensmower by hand only. Do not use another vehicle to push or pull the greensmower.

BACKLAP VALVE LABEL

Picture Note: Open service access panel below operator seat platform to locate label attached to backlap valve.

Read Backlapping Cutting Units in the Service-Cutting Units section of the operator’s manual before operating the backlap valve.

Avoid injury from rotating blades. Keep hands and feet away while greensmower is running.
