John Deere large square balers use a small-diameter (34-cm (13.4-in.)) pickup drum with a roller baffle to efficiently pick crop up from the field. The small drum diameter in combination with the efficiency of the roller baffle compressing the crop against the pickup tines means more crop in the bale, and fewer leaves and crop left in the field.
Both precutter and non-precutter John Deere large square balers utilize a heavy-duty feed rotor that utilizes a high capacity in-line design.
John Deere large square balers are ISO compatible machines that are compatible with any ISO monitoring system.
Current Greenstar Displays including the touchscreen 2630, 1800, as well as the Greenstar 2600 are compatible for customers who already own a display.
Balers that will be utilized on non-ISO tractors will require a Greenstar Display as well as a conversion harness to connect the display and the baler.
John Deere large square balers come standard with a unique single-tie knotter system that utilizes a twine-release system as the knot is formed.
John Deere large square balers utilize a unique system in which a single feeder fork takes the crop from the back side of the rotor and packs the crop in the pre-compression chamber. Once the target density is met in the pre-compression chamber, the stuffer system then completes a longer stroke which places the flake into the bale chamber to be compressed.
