2013 NEWS RELEASES AND INFORMATION
John Deere at the Royal Highland Show 2013
A number of new John Deere products and services are being shown on the company’s stand (number 305 on Avenue S) at the Royal Highland Show 2013, covering precision farming, tractors and the latest Gator utility vehicle.
- The newly established FarmSight dealer service packages offer a range of precision farming solutions relating particularly to machine guidance, ISOBUS controls and telematics. Depending on availability, customers may choose from four flexible packages each with three optional service levels, designed to help optimise their machinery and farm operations.
- The XUV 855D Gator 4x4 utility vehicle has a number of additional new features for 2013. These include a dash-mounted digital instrument cluster, a larger 27.6-litre fuel tank, improved engine braking and a redesigned descent control system. This follows the introduction of a new electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) system earlier in the year, which is now standard on the XUV 855D Gator with olive & black livery, and optional on the green & yellow version.
- The new single-fuel 6M Series tractor range makes its first appearance at the Highland, in the shape of the 6140M; this 140hp (EC 97/68 rated) model features the highest power level yet from a John Deere four-cylinder tractor. The versatile, newly styled 6M Series includes tractors from 115hp to a new top of the range 170hp model.
- Also being shown for the first time at the Highland is a 6210R 210hp tractor with new DirectDrive transmission, complete with John Deere’s range-topping trailed sprayer, the 6200-litre R962i.
