SIMA – John Deere’s first milestone event in 2013

The SIMA Show (24-28 February) in Paris represents the first major promotional platform for the presentation of new John Deere products in 2013. The 3,200m2 stand in Hall 5B will be ‘setting directions’ in many ways.

Apart from award winning solutions such as the John Deere multi-fuel tractor (SIMA Gold medal) and Remote Display Access (SIMA Silver medal), the company will be highlighting  its John Deere FarmSight strategy, a suite of solutions designed to enhance machine optimisation, logistics optimisation and agronomic decision support on the farm.

John Deere is also launching a new model in the R900i Series of trailed sprayers. The R952i sprayer with 5,200-litre capacity tank is packed with intelligent solutions to support arable farmers and contractors in the entire crop protection process from filling to spraying.

A number of new John Deere products will additionally be on display for the international SIMA audience. Replacing the 6030 Series tractors from Mannheim, John Deere’ s new range of 6M tractors from 115-170hp is equipped with iT4/Stage IIIB engines and is designed to meet the needs of mid-size arable and livestock farms.

The newly designed John Deere DirectDrive transmission is also on display and in action at SIMA for the first time. This combines the operating comfort of a stepless transmission with the efficiency of a mechanical transmission.
John Deere's new 7080 Series self-propelled forage harvesters run from 380-812hp. This expanded range of seven models includes an additional 440hp machine and incorporates the new KernelStar technology, a state-of the-art concept based on a patented bevel disc design.
This allows more intensive treatment of the kernels when compared to either the conventional cylindrical roll design or other disc designs on the market.

John Deere’s largest combine harvester, the S690, will also be on display fitted with tracks, a solution that significantly reduces soil compaction in critical harvesting or soil conditions.

Finally, a new addition to John Deere’s SIMA Show product display is a suite of solutions offered by the John Deere Water division, designed to provide water and nutrients directly to the plant’s root zone.
