Choosing the right accessories for your cutting unit makes a clear difference, too. See below for a variety of options to choose from when outfitting your John Deere cutting unit.

The greens tender conditioner (GTC) for the Quick-Adjust cutting unit is gear driven and counter-rotates to the direction of the reel to stand up grass, for a premium quality of cut. The counter-rotating blades eliminate clumping by recycling grass clippings for a smooth, clean playing surface. They also groom the turf by slicing stolons on lateral growing grasses, stimulating the plants and promoting new vertical growth.

New Dense Turf (DT) Rotary Turf Brush, QA5*

DT rotary turf brush uses an exclusive helix design for mounting the bristles, similar to the blades of a reel. This helix-design pattern of the bristles creates a more consistent engagement to the turf across the cutting width of the reel than straight-rowed brushes. The helix design also improves the ability of the brush to stand up the grass plant without having to increase brush depth, while promoting improved striping and consistent cut quality.

The DT brush is ideal for dense-turf varieties of warm season turf grasses and can also be used with cool-season varieties. Additionally, this brush, in combination with our counter-rotating system, will help reduce grain for a truer playing surface and improved after-cut appearance.

Rear Roller Power Brush*

Scraper*

Solid smooth roller scrapers are available for QA5 cutting units and QA5 and QA7 verticutters. All of these scrapers feature a solid design that run the full length of the roller, helping to keep the smooth rollers clean for a more consistent, effective cutting height or verticutting depth. Each scraper is compatible with 50.8-mm (2-in.) smooth rollers, and is adjustable for wear and conditions.
