Hardened Insert Bedknives

These John Deere bedknives are engineered from hardened steel, giving them a sharper, more precise cut and longer lifespan than conventional bedknives. Technicians can expect to spend less time backlapping, grinding and changing these bedknives, reducing maintenance and labour.

Fairway Bedknife*

for fairway, tee, and approach applications.

Greens Bedknife*

which can be bench set as low as 3 mm (0.125 in.) This knife is the standard geometry position for the tip of bedknife to the center of the reel.

Greens Tournament Bedknife*

which can be bench set as low as 2.5 mm (0.100 in.) This knife is standard on the Quick-Adjust 5 (QA5) cutting units and is the standard geometry position for the tip of bedknife to the center of the reel.

Greens Ultra-Low-Cut Tournament Bedknife*

which can be bench set as low as 2 mm (0.078 in.) This knife reduces the distance from the tip of the bedknife to the center of the reel from the standard position (less aggressive).

Greens Hardened Tool Steel Ultra-Low Cut Tournament Bedknife*

which can be bench set as low as 2 mm (0.078 in.) This knife increases wear life over the regular ultra-low cut knife and reduces the distance from the tip of the bedknife to the center of the reel from the ultra-low cut position (least aggressive).
