
A career in service can start as an apprentice with multiple opportunities to develop into a service specialist or even workshop manager and beyond. You will receive the specialist training you need to work on high tech machines – from a lawnmower to a forage harvester, from a tractor to a satellite-guided steering system.
In this role, you direct the service team which advises customers on repairs and upgrades – in the field and the workshop. As such, you drive service quality and profitability with total customer satisfaction as your goal.
You perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and dealer owned equipment, consulting customers on optimal machine adjustments and upgrades.
You perform complex diagnostics and service repairs for specific machines (tractors, crop care, harvesting, precision ag or turf equipment). You consult customers on optimal machine adjustment and upgrades. You act as an expert contact for colleagues and customers.
You leverage the power of machine connectivity and John Deere Connected Support tools to ensure machine uptime and performance via service contracts.
You'll learn all about the service technician job at the dealership in combination with visiting a technical training school. Working with a mentor on technical repairs of agricultural or turf equipment and also attend technical training.
