The robust H425 and H425HD harvester heads are designed for big trees and require a large base machine. Design priorities were ease of use, durability, performance, economy, precisely routed hoses, and easy access to service points. John Deere harvester heads are equipped with the new SuperCut 100S saw unit, which features reliable chain tensioning, facilitates saw chain replacement, and enables the use of wide-tail saw bars.
The H425 harvester head is designed for the bigger size-class 1270G and 1470G base machines. It is ideal for fellings where the tree diameter at chest height is 250-500 mm. Hose routing from the boom to the harvester head and from the valve block to the feed motors is carefully designed. The hoses to the feed motors are routed through the frame and are well protected within the structures, improving the durability of the harvester head. The PEVO valve’s economy, adjustability and control are excellent.
A wide selection of saw motors and saw bars is available for the H425 harvester heads.
The H425HD harvester head has feed motor guards and an HD tilt handle, and Expander pins in the upper tilt cylinder, feed motor arms, and lower delimbing knives. The H425HD is a durable harvester head with excellent performance and measuring accuracy. Maintenance is fast because the valve block and grease points are easily accessible, and filling the saw chain oil is easy. The saw chain remains in place and saw chain replacement is quick.
A wide selection of saw motors and saw bars is available for the H425HD harvester heads.
Over-rotation prevention is available for 1270G and 1470G harvesters with IBC 3.0 and H424 or H425/H425HD harvester head.
