In tough conditions like down crops, peas or grass seed the 700PF header with active feed active transport of the crop into the feed auger prevents the accumulation of material at the front of the header.
The 1000mm distance between the cutterbar and feeding auger further reduces losses in rapeseed as the reel can be set higher to minimize shattering losses.
Crop Conversion is simple and easy, just click on the side knives, lift the auger and you are ready to harvest.
Overview
A unique active belt system feeds the intake auger all the time, completely independent from crop and condition. With this system, the operator will always get the best-in-class feeding compared to usual auger headers. The belts are 500-mm (19.7-in.) long and with the 760-mm (29.9-in.) auger, smooth crop transfer from the belts to the auger is provided for a higher and better crop conveyor capability.

Please make sure to only do the belt speed adjustment when the header is not running.
Overview
All 700PF Series Cutting Platforms feature an extra-large, 760-mm (29.9-in.) auger tube with deep auger flights (167 mm [6.57 in.]) to handle large amounts of crop. This design provides a very big area under the auger to aggressively feed large volumes of crop material. The inner diameter of the 760-mm (29.9-in.) auger is 425 mm (16.7 in.). Because of the increased auger diameter, the length of the auger fingers has increased from 150 mm (5.9 in.) to 200 mm (7.9 in.).
Benefits
All augers are equipped with retractable auger fingers over the full width of the auger. The outside fingers are in a spiral order for smooth and quiet auger running. In the center part, the amount of installed fingers increased by 30 percent. Auger fingers are designed for quick replacement and mounted with a finger retainer. Auger finger retainers prevent broken fingers from being moved into the combine, minimizing the potential damage caused by rocks or other obstructions.
Split auger to keep high performance over full cutting widths
Up to 9.15 m (30 ft), the auger will stay as one single auger like on the 700X. For the 10.7-m (35-ft) and 12.2-m (40-ft) platforms, a central auger bearing will be used to allow harvesting in high-yielding conditions with maximum feeding capacity.
The adjustable intake auger from the 7.6 m (22 ft) for maximum versatility is equipped with a hydraulic lift system to guarantee a quick adaption when going in rape seed. This is done manually with a hand pump on the cutting platform to set the auger up for harvesting rapeseed for smoothest feeding and an optimal match for the high performance of the John Deere combines. To change the auger position, no tools are required. The drive chain tension does not need to be adjusted.
The 700PF Series Cutting Platform augers come standard with full-width retractable fingers. That means there is always one additional finger between each wrap of auger flights which helps to move tough or green crop faster and creates a more even feeding. The high-capacity auger is easy to maintain and has great uptime. Each intake finger can be reached easily and comfortably by special-designed service doors on the intake auger to keep uptime high and the harvest efficient. The intake auger position is adjustable for maximum versatility.
The retractable fingers are 16 mm (0.63 in.) in diameter with a reach of 200 mm (7.9 in.). Fingers have a breakaway groove and are secured with a retainer preventing them to enter the combine. Replacement is fast and easy.
Overview
Everything is designed for quick crop-to-crop conversion. John Deere developed a click-on system for side knives and crop dividers with easy access.
Jump from one field into the other without using any tools to set the platform in the best position. This gives the highest flexibility during the entire harvest season to always have the platform in best configuration to meet high performance and efficiency in each condition. A quick clutch and clamp design is 100 percent tool free and allows easy mounting/dismounting for just one person. This is also supported by the low weight of the side knife since there is no hydraulic or electric drive.
Benefits
The quick mechanical-driven side knives are in base on all 700PF Headers.
The belt speed of the 700 PremiumFlow platform can be set hydraulically. This can be set on the left side of the header by turning the black knob. The special-designed PVC belts delivering an incomparable feeding.

The 700PF and its unique belt drive system deliver a couple of key competitive advantages. Those maintenance-free belt segments consistently feed the combine in all kinds of crop conditions. An automatic belt tension system helps to always have fully tensioned belts to increase the life cycle. The space between the belts is covered with stainless-steel covers. The 700PF is equipped with specially designed seals which protect the belt drives and keep mud and dirt out of the drive system. In addition, the belts also function as an integrated stone dam and keep stones out of the header.
The heavy-duty driveline for the auger and cutterbar on the left-hand side of the cutting platform is designed for the biggest throughput and best efficiency. The epicyclical knife drive gearbox is driven by a driveshaft, the intake auger is driven by a strong chain, and a 1200-Nm (885-lb-ft) slip clutch to protect the auger and driveline in case of crop plugging.

Single driveshaft from left side from the feederhouse
The single drive shaft on the left-hand side of the platform keeps platform hookup easy and fast. The platform knife and auger are driven from a single drive shaft, which connects to a splined feederhouse drive shaft. The single drive shaft is standard configuration from 6.7 m (22 ft) up to 12.2 m (40 ft).
Single drive and synchronized dual knife drive
From 6.7 m (22 ft) up to 9.1 m (30 ft) there is a single-side knife drive which is located on the left-hand side and is driven by a driveshaft. On 10.7-m (35-ft) and 12.2-m (40-ft) models there is a dual-side knife drive which is also based a driveshaft and allows the synchronized operation of two cutting knives.
On all models, the drive system is protected by a heavy-duty slip clutch which is linked to the main drive pulley.
All hydraulic and electric drives of the header are fed by the advanced multicoupler which delivers electricity and hydraulics to drive the header functions.
A storage bracket holds the coupler when the platform is not in use and provides clean and reliable hydraulic and electrical connections.
