High Throughput and consistent stubble height
The combination of HydraFloat header height sensing with the suspension system and double-cut knives, enables faster harvesting with lower ground pressure and consistend stubble height.
For harvesting rapeseed a larger 460mm top conveying auger is available as well as a centre section sealing kit. Rapeseed side knives can also be fitted.

Overview
Heads first feeding
The draper belt technology of the 700D Series Draper Platform provides a smooth material flow from the header via the feeder house into the combine. This draper belt design increases the performance of John Deere's combines. With the draper, the operator can start earlier and finish later in the day.

Double-cut knife system produces a cleaner cut
Overview
All John Deere 700D Drapers include a double-cut knife which features hydraulic tilt that is controlled from inside the cab. All 10.7-m (35-ft) and 12.2-m (40-ft) draper cutterbars also have knifeback reinforcement straps to strengthen the knifeback.

Lateral tilt feeder house enhances 700D HydraFloat™ system performance
Overview
HydraFloat allows the operator to change the hydraulic pressure required from the cab to float the header. As ground conditions change, the operator can increase or decrease the flotation capability of the header to match operating conditions. A lateral-tilt feeder house is highly recommended for use with 700D Series Draper Platforms as it allows operators to obtain the full benefit and capabilities of the automatic header-leveling system on sloping or uneven terrain.

- The HydraFloat system has a usable float range of 6 degrees reducing header loss.
- Lateral tilt feeder house adds an additional 4 degrees of lateral tilt, increasing the total float range to 10 degrees, which is unmatched in the industry.

S790 equipped with lateral tilt feeder house
All other small-grain draper platforms in the industry utilize either springs or air bags to laterally tilt the platform and follow ground contours. This technology worked well in the past but has always been a reactive technology and not an active technology. The 700D HydraFloat system with integrated header height sensing along with a lateral tilt feeder house offers unmatched ground-following capability that no other draper platform can match.
Because the 700D active technology is integrated with operation of the lateral tilt system, the adjustments happen automatically; no operator interaction is needed.

Overview
CommandARM™ controls for the S700 Combines
The center belt speed on the draper is fixed. The speed of the side draper belts can be controlled from an adjustment on the CommandARM™ controls from within the cab, and combine software allows operators the option to slow down the side belts to a fixed speed with a push of a button on the CommandARM console. Additionally, a draper belt protection system is integrated into the 700D Draper Platform family to minimize side belt damage should slippage occur.

- Side draper belt speed ranges from 0 m to 223 m (0 ft to 732 ft) per minute and is displayed on the S-Series Combine CommandCenter™ display in the cab for optimal performance in varying crops and conditions.
- Center draper belt speed is fixed at 240 m (787 ft) per minute for optimal feeding to the combine feeder house.
- Speed sensors monitor the speed of the idler rollers and should major slippage be experienced, the belts shut off, and an operator warning is shown on the CommandCenter display.

Overview
740D Draper Platform
The 700D Draper platforms have additional features and options available to help bushy crops feed evenly into the feeder house. To harvest bushy crops, such as rapeseed, the 700D Platform can be optionally equipped with a top-crop conveying auger, two different auger types, center-section sealing kit, and rapeseed side knives. All features are available directly via the John Deere pricelist. The side knives are available through Zürn Harvesting.
