2. Hands-on or desk control?

Or use a wall-mounted interface, and programme right from your office.
As with competitive systems, John Deere Golf’s most basic set-up involves field controllers out on the course or in the office. But there the similarity ends.
Our base configuration ALT irrigation controllers offer great programming flexibility – up to 32 independent programmes per day, powerful water budgeting (from 0-999%) and run times to the second, which save water and energy costs. This base system involves physically visiting each controller and hand-inputting programmes – which works well for many courses.
But if you’d like to programme your irrigation system without having to leave your office, we offer an affordable wall-mounted interface (AIU) – which you can use to activate wired or decoder stations, or programme field controllers. This convenient option doesn’t require the purchase of a computer!
Both systems come standard with four data/communication ports. Besides adding handheld radios and sensors, these ports can also be used for wireless links to hard-to-reach holes like across a water hazard.
